In transactions facilitated by Neodom, the initial 10% reservation payment is deposited into an *escribano* (notary) account. At this early stage, the relevant parties—including the *escribano* and, depending on the property and deal structure, the developer and financial institutions—conduct the necessary KYC/AML checks on the buyer and the source of funds. If the documents pass verification, the transaction proceeds, and the funds are subsequently transferred to the developer’s account in accordance with the terms of the deal.
If a buyer fails the required compliance check, making it impossible to proceed with the transaction, the terms of the deal with Neodom provide for the refund of the reservation deposit to the buyer. This is a special client protection mechanism that we agree upon in advance with the *escribanos* (notaries) and developers involved in the transaction and formalize in the relevant documents.
If a standard bank transfer is not feasible in a specific situation, we can also consider an alternative transaction structure using specialized cryptocurrency services—subject to the completion of necessary KYC/AML procedures and compliance with the requirements of all parties involved in the transaction.
